# Privacy Policy for Amazon Shopping Optimizer

Last updated: June 1, 2026

Amazon Shopping Optimizer is designed to work locally in your browser.

## What the extension does

The extension reads supported Amazon product pages and search results pages in order to:

- detect package size and pack count
- calculate unit prices
- help you compare similar products
- let you save products locally in the extension for later review

## Data we process

The extension may process the following data from supported Amazon pages:

- product title
- displayed price
- displayed package size or count information
- product URL and ASIN when available

If you choose to save a product, the extension stores a local record that may include:

- product title
- product URL
- marketplace
- price
- calculated unit price
- package size
- saved timestamp

## How data is stored

Saved products are stored locally using Chrome extension storage on your device.

## What we do not collect

The extension does not require:

- an account
- a login
- a backend service
- a cloud database

The extension does not intentionally collect:

- payment information
- passwords
- personal messages
- browsing history outside supported Amazon pages

## Data sharing

The extension does not sell personal data.

The extension does not share saved product data with our servers because the extension does not use a backend.

## Affiliate links

Some comparison links and saved-product links may include affiliate tracking parameters. These links are only used when you explicitly click them.

The extension does not automatically rewrite existing Amazon links across pages and does not redirect you without your action.

## Your choices

You can remove saved items at any time from the extension popup.

You can also uninstall the extension to remove its local functionality.

## Contact

Replace this section with your real support contact before Chrome Web Store submission.
